Definitive Treatment of Open Pelvic Fractures with External Fixator

Background: Unstable and open pelvic fractures are often associated with significant morbidity mortality, especially in patients multiple injuries. Early fixation provides stability should diminish ongoing hemorrhage. Materials Methods: We undertook a retrospective descriptive study of all cases unstable treated external fixators the orthopedic trauma surgery department Army Training Hospital Principal Dakar over 4 years ranging from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022. Results: 12 were included this study.
